Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo Foundation

The Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo Foundation is the ideal continuation of the Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, created in 1822, aiming at promoting the collect of the popular savings and supporting the economic development of the local community. The Foundation pursues social utility goals, economic development promotion, with particular emphasis on the Padua and Rovigo area.

The statute takes into account that the Foundation develops its activities mainly in the following fields:
- Scientific research
- Education
- Arts and Conservation, valorisation of the fine arts and cultural activities and environment
- Healthcare
- Assistance and protection of the weakest categories

The Foundation is very active in promoting and supporting R&D, with particular regard to nanotechnology.

The Foundation is also among the shareholders and founders of Veneto Nanotech - the Italian high tech-cluster for nanotechnology applied to materials – which is the Nanochallenge’s organiser .
