Boot Camp
The Boot Camp for Entrepreneurs is a program designed to help companies present their opportunities to investors in the language of an investor. In most early to mid-stage companies, entrepreneurs who are the experts in their technology, product, or service need to gain an understanding of what drives an investor to make an investment decision. We have found that the language tools needed to make an investor presentation are very different than that which is needed for a technical presentation. Through years of studying the habits and actions of successful entrepreneurs, the Boot Camp content was developed and optimized. The response from capital-seeking participants has been overwhelmingly positive.
Boot Camp content includes:
1. A thorough explanation of the investment lifecycle including explanations of the position and impact of various sources of funds and expected return methodologies
2. Navigation of the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and how investors review and value various entrepreneurial elements
3. Presentation Preparation and examples: flow, sequence, and expectations
One-to-One Meetings:
In the framework of the Boot Camp, one hour sessions with Maverick Angels will be scheduled with each presenter to personally go through the presentation in detail and to provide Positive and Critical feedback for the evolution of the presentation. The goal is to help the entrepreneur fine-tune each presentation and enable the best possible success in front of various investor audiences. Key focus will be on ensuring the business message is delivered along with the technology.
